Exercise

Regular exercise is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. However, exercise doesn’t mean you have to rack up the miles on the treadmill or lift heavier and heavier weights.

It is recommended that the average adult undertakes at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 times a week to maintain a healthy body, and that exercise is classified as any activity that consistently keeps your heart rate above the normal resting rate. So what does this mean?

A brisk walk for 30 minutes can count as one of the sessions. A 30 minute swim, even an hour of solid house work all counts as a session. You can off course put the time in at the gym, if you so prefer.

We will go through a few principles in this section to help you find the right balance that works for you and allows you to maintain it.
