Some patients approach us knowing they need a S-Lift (Face Lift), however, the tissue degeneration is so minimal that such surgery is often not needed, and can indeed be counter productive.

The introduction of the Serdev Suture technique has provided our surgeon with the ability to provide a lift without the need for the S-Lift surgery. The technique causes minimal trauma to the facial tissue and so is often preferred by patients.

Our surgeon studied the technique under Dr. Nikolai Serdev, the pioneer of the technique. The technique involves lifting tissue with sutures or stitches to give subtle but effective looking results that are natural in appearance.

The Serdev Suture Technique can also be applied to other parts of the face such as; the neck, the jowls, and the brow, and also to various parts of the body, depending on the requirements and needs of the patient.

The Serdev Suture technique at Castlefield Clinic is carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation which minimises the risks normally associated with a general anaesthetic. The technique of anaesthesia also means that there is less bruising and a quicker recovery time with no need for an over night stay.
