An Abdominoplasty, or Tummy Tuck, is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat deposits from the abdominal area. It may be that the underlying muscles may need realignment to give maximum results.

The Abdominoplasty is usually a procedure requested by women who have had children and so their abdominal muscles have been strained. For this reason, it is important that the Abdominoplasty is only considered if there are no plans to have further children.

The Abdominoplasty has 3 degrees to it. At your consultation, the Surgeon will discuss with you the options available and come to a mutual decision.

The Tummy Tuck at Castlefield Clinic is carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation which minimises the risks normally associated with a general anaesthetic. The technique of anaesthesia also means that there is less bruising and a quicker recovery time with no need for an over night stay.
